Description

Damian Flügel:

Hi,

I installed the new version 11.3 ans since I did it I get on every start of Kadu this messages.
My conversation and status history are lost.

When I try to start an older version this same happens.

Greetings
Dag

I fix the problem it were the rigts for the Kadu folder in the user library folder.
I gave all rights for my user and it work. Now I have all the history and no message on start.

Damian Flügel:

Was it Kadu's fault? Was it a problem that occurred automatically
after updating to 0.11.3?
Or did you messed the rights yourself? ;)

I think it was Kadu's fault by installation of 11.3.
I grantet later the rights for me manually.

  • Status changed from New to Rejected
  • Target version deleted (0.12.1)

I got access to a Mac OS X Lion system for a while, and I tried upgrading Kadu to 0.11.3 from various older versions, including 0.6.5.5 and it worked each time. 0.12.0 also worked. And I can't imagine how Kadu could change rights to its configuration directories/files. The only thing we do in the sources is setting rights explicitly to 0700 for the ".kadu" (or "Kadu" in OS X case) directory on its creation. Rejecting. If you have any idea, please reopen. If anyone wonders, changing the directory rights each time Kadu starts doesn't make sense to me.
