Installation using urpmi

This is really convenient and easy way of installation, recommended for beginners.

• The first step is to add an repository containing Kadu.
• The second is to install the program using distribution's tools.

Repository add

Copy and run the command for your distribution version. This is one time operation. For Mandriva 2010.2 use only the first command (add only kadu media).

urpmi.addmedia kadu <url> with ./synthesis.hdlist.cz
urpmi.addmedia kadu-contrib <url>/contrib/ with ./synthesis.hdlist.cz

Where url is:

Mandriva 2010.2 i586, Mandriva 2010.1 i586, 2010.0 i586, 2009.1, 2009.0, 2008.1, 2008.0, 2007.1, 2007.0, 2006, Older releases than 2009 are not supported anymore - for Mandriva 2010.1 and 2010.0 there is 0.6.5.4 version available, for 2008.x 0.6.5.3, for 2007.x - 0.6.0.2 and for 2006 - 0.6.0.1.

Program installation

Install program by the following command:

urpmi kadu
